Poverty and Inequalities

The Erika and Conrad Schnyder-Foundation has identified four global threats to peace and prosperity: pandemics, wars large and small which include terrorism, climate change and overpopulation. We may contribute to help protect and care for vulnerable people by listening in order to better understand the plights and needs, so as to help in a more innovative and successful way.

The Erika and Conrad Schnyder-Foundation fights poverty by strengthening local systems. This is achieved by education, improving medical care, food security and empowering the weak. By promoting help for self-help, we support people in improving their lives on their own. We are looking for strategies to create humanitarian security zones, to protect against conflicts, to cope with pandemics, climate change and human cruelty.

Particular attention is paid to projects with an innovative approach which promote social change and at the same time include the preservation or restoration of cultural heritage.
